Five on a Friday

1. Last night we went to my BIL’s house, to drop off their computer that I fixed, and to see the baby. Julia hasn’t been sleeping well at all, and was fussing pretty bad for Jut and his brother. I took her in my arms, though, and she calmed right down! My heart burst.

2. Tomorrow I’m hanging out with Mandy! We’re heading to the Fiesta Tent Sale, and then out to lunch to catch up and get to know each other outside of this little blog world. I can’t wait!

3. I’m sure I’ll post separately on this, but two weeks in, school has been going reasonably well. I absolutely LOVE my Fundamentals of the Internet class, and have left the room on a total high both weeks. Color Theory is alright, but I hate that we use Corel Painter instead of Photoshop. And the teacher is kind of boring. Fundamentals of Design, my online class, isn’t so great, but also not dreadful. It’s a ton of work, and I’m just glad it’s only 5.5 weeks long.

4. Tomorrow night Justin and I are hosting a few friends for a game night. We’re celebrating a very close girlfriend’s birthday! It should be low-key, and super fun! Plus, there will be cake, and who doesn’t love cake!

5. If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you may have read that I drank coffee for the first time ever last Saturday. First of all, when I say this, I mean, real true coffee. I drink cappuccino, and some flavored lattes, just never actual coffee. I was drinking International Delight’s Iced Coffee every day, which is basically like chocolate milk, but I decided it was too much money, and way too many calories. (190 in 8 oz!) I needed some form of caffeine, so I tried coffee, and so far I’m enjoying it! Right now, I’m adding a quarter cup of skim milk, and two tsp of sugar, though I’m considering alternatives. I don’t know that I’ll ever be able to drink straight black coffee, but we’ll see. Today, Jut made me Hazelnut, and seriously, it’s so freaking delicious!
