Welcome Fall!

I cannot believe it’s already October! But, it’s also officially Fall, my very favorite season!! I am so excited for the cooler temperatures, the changing leaves, and the overwhelming sense I get to set new goals and organize my life! Am I the only one who gets the urge to declutter during this time of year? I plan to spend the next few weeks going through ALL THE THINGS and simplifying as much as possible. The following items are a few of the other things I hope to accomplish while I’m at it:
  • Go back to school!
  • Start Project Life (For real this time, since I just won a spot in Becky Higgins’ Project Real Life class, from Deb Duty!)
  • Try four new crock-pot recipes
  • Bake two new treats
  • Take a random drive over backroads
  • Host a few bonfires
  • Go to Soergel Orchards (Yearly tradition with Jut’s sister’s family!)
  • Carve pumpkins
  • Drink lots of apple cider
  • Try a Starbucks Pumpkin Vanilla Chai (Since I don’t like the Pumpkin Spice Latte, no matter how many times I try it!)
  • Decorate for the season
  • Wear lots of scarves and tights
  • Commit to a yoga studio and a regular practice (Student discount FTW!)

It’s going to be a crazy busy season, but I’m so ready jump right in!

What are your big plans for Fall? Am I the only person who doesn’t like Pumpkin Spice Lattes?

I’m not a fan of pumpkin spice lattes, either! I don’t like too many pumpkin-flavored things, actually. I do LOVE roasted pumpkin seeds so I’m excited to have those again this season! So yum!

I try to love roasted pumpking seeds every year! How do you make yours?

I ADORE pumpkin spice lattes. I wish I didn’t like them so much as they are expensive little buggers. Have you tried the creme brulee latte? Those are good too! I am not sure if they are out yet? But they are probably really caloric (like all specialty drinks at Starbucks).

I am excited for fall for many reasons. I am excited for PSL’s (and have drank so many, but mostly on an expense account for work so it hasn’t come out of my pocket!), running my marathon in 2 weeks, watching the leaves change, co-hosting an event my aunt and I call “Julia Child Night”, and wearing books and scarves!!

I’ve never had the creme brulee latte, but I LOVE creme brulee, so I’ll definitely have to try it this year!!

Good luck on your marathon! I can’t wait to hear how it goes!!
