At the beginning of this season, I made a list of things I wanted to accomplish. Here it is, updated with what I actually got done!
Get a new puppy!I just realized I haven’t posted about our little Roddy yet, so I’ll get on that ASAP!Spend a day at KennywoodWe attended Justin’s work picnic, but we really just went for the potato patch fries :)- Go to Sandcastle for the first time
Go to a Pirates gameWe went for the Boyz II Men concert after the game, and it was fantastic!- Take Justin to a drive-in movie for his first time
- Take Justin tent camping for his first time
Cabin camp at Cook’s ForestI want to write up a post for this too!- Work outside when working from home
- Eat dinner outside as often as possible
Eat corn on the cobWe ate corn almost every week this summer, thanks to our CSA!- Walk Bailey twice a week
- See as many fireworks as possible
- Have a picnic
Host a house partyWe had 20 people at our house, an awesome food spread cooked by the husband, and a super fun night with friends!Hit up lots of yard-salesI already have a post drafted to show you all the awesome things we’ve bought, but I need to take pictures for it!Eat lots of ice creamAgain, pretty much weekly. I love ice cream.Have lots of bonfires in the new firepitWe’ve had many, and we plan to have many more before it starts snowing! The fall ones are the best!Go to the ZooWe took Brylee for her 4th birthday!Bake cookiesI made a batch for work, but then I dropped half of them on the floor. Oops! (The survivors were tasty though)Wear dressesI wore one everyday on the honeymoon, so I’m counting it.- Write and snail-mail someone a letter
- Take a million pictures
- Start Project Life on July 1st (Document our 1st year of marriage!)
Try three new foodsMahi Mahi, a burrito, fish and chips, and a bunch of new vegetables from the CSA!Learn how to make three new mealsI’ve been assisting Justin with dinners all summer, so I’m counting this one done.
I’d say I didn’t do too bad, considering I got married and spent a week in paradise during all of this! The only thing I’m really disappointed about is the fireworks. They are my absolutely favorite part of summer, but because we were in St. Lucia on the 4th, we didn’t get to see any. Sad Face!
Everything I didn’t cross off will just have to wait until next year, because I’m super anxious to get started on a fall list! I’m still tweaking it, and will post it Friday!
What did you do this summer? Are you sad to see it go, or are you anxious for fall?

I’m ready for it to cool down but I’m sort of sad that summer’s almost gone. I got a few things off my list but I definitely did not make it to the beach enough, for shame.
I feel like I didn’t get enough beach time in either, and I spent a week in St. Lucia!
