Wedding Recap: The Reception

August 21, 2012

in Wedding

We held our reception at the LeMont on Mt. Washington. It has the most stunning view of the city, and we knew as soon as we walked in, that it was the perfect place for us! And it didn’t hurt that the food is INCREDIBLE!

The view!

He followed this with “You really committed to that dip!” He thought for sure he was going to drop me!

Speech #1 – Justin’s best friend – Obviously he had me cracking up hysterically, over a super inappropriate reference to a certain car ride on Justin’s 25th birthday…

Speech #2 – My Bestie and MOH – She also had us laughing, by bringing up an old story about my mom in her underwear!

Speech #3 – Justin’s brother and Best Man – Again, my friends are obviously hilarious.

They only clinked their glasses to make us kiss once!

The cake cutting!

This was right after he asked if he could shove it in my face, and I replied “just a little bit”.

I was blowing frosting out of my nose for a week! (He even managed to get it on my BACK!)

Our First Dance, to Ben Folds - “The Luckiest”

Dancing with my daddy, to Tim McGraw – “My Little Girl”

Justin and his sister, dancing to John Legend - ”It Don’t Have to Change”

I love this photo of me with Justin’s aunt. She was telling me all about her younger years while Jut and Bec were dancing.

The Bridal Party, dancing to Journey – “Faithfully” (and obviously having a good time!)

Time to throw the bouquet! Except this is one of my bridesmaids bouquets, because I couldn’t find my throwaway! (It was on the head table right at my seat. Oops!)

Alison was FOCUSED.

Winning!

I was NOT expecting Justin to go right up my dress! There were Grandmothers watching!

The guys were getting Ali’s boyfriend Jacob ready…

He was in his stance, waiting for it…

I’d say he was pretty pumped to catch it!

And then he did this…and I decided NOT to ask for the garter back :)

The rest of the night was full of dancing and having an amazing time!

My cousin Sophia was breaking it down ALL NIGHT.

Teaching Brylee how to do the Cupid Shuffle

Check out my brother TJ’s face! (And cousin Lillian, not sure what to think!)

Looks like my mom and step-dad were having a good time :)

My grandparents, who just celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary! I’d love to make it that long with my Jutty!

It was so nice to see my dad’s Step-Mom, who moved to Florida after my Grandpa died, and I haven’t seen in 5 years!

At the end of the night, we went outside to set off sparklers on one of the outlooks. I wanted so bad to get a photo of the bridal party sparkling the date, but alas, we got kicked out by the Incline Operator! Sad Face!

We made sure to get a few photos out there anyway :)

My next recap will be of all the little details!  I’ll be so sad when I’m done posting these!

That bouquet was MINE. Hehe… and would you expect anything less of Jacob?
