Wedding Recap: The Ceremony

August 9, 2012

in Wedding

Let me be honest for a moment here. I know that the ceremony portion of a wedding day is the most important part. I also know that in reality, it’s kind of the only part of the day that even really matters. The rest is just bonus. I feel like knowing this should have had me going crazy to make sure this part of the day was absolutely perfect, but somehow I spent less time planning it, than anything else! Thankfully, it was still perfect, without me having to do anything crazy for it!

My brother’s friend Charlie was our pianist, and with barely any direction from us, he did fantastic! We only gave him two songs. The one I walked to, and the one we walked back together to. Otherwise, he was just winging it!

Justin’s brother, James, escorted their Grandma. She’s looking pretty good for 81, eh?

My brothers escorted my mom, with my step-dad following close behind

Bridesmaid April (Justin’s brother James’ wife) (You can’t tell here, but she’s 6 months pregnant in these photos!)

Bridesmaid Alison (The first friend I made in Pittsburgh)

Bridesmaid Rebecca (Justin’s sister)

Bridesmaid Nicole (My bestie from college, and sorority “little sister”)

Bridesmaid Tracey (My brother TJ’s girlfriend, and hopefully soon-to-be fiance!)

Bridesmaid Teri (My first friend at college, my first roommate, and my ”baked potato”)

Jr. Bridesmaid Madison (Our niece and my BFF)

Jr. Bridesmaid Breann (Justin’s cousin and god-daughter)

Maid of Honor Michele (My best friend since Kindergarten)

Flower Girl Brylee (Our niece) and Ring Bearer Noah (MOH Michele’s son)

Apparently when Noah got to the front, before I started coming down, he laid down on the altar to take a nap! This is the only photo, catching Michele trying to get him up!

I love that look on Jut’s face as he watches me come down the aisle!

Me and my daddy :)

Oh, bubbles! and the star wars theme, that’s hilarious! I love it. And yes, totally agree that the ceremony is the most important part of the day. I must remember that!
