First off, a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Lindsey and her husband on their wedding! I am so happy for them and know you all are as well.
Over the past several years, I’ve seen several of my closest friends walk down the aisle toward wedded bliss. While I’ve yet to take the step myself, weddings are always a special time. I’ve been a bridesmaid, a reader, but my favorite role is simply spectator. I love witnessing the reactions of the bride, the groom, the wedding party and the emotions that happen while nuptials are exchanged.
While I pretend to be a rock, the honest truth is, I’m a complete softie and total romantic at heart. There’s something about watching two people pledging their lives to each other in front of family and friends that makes me cry. Every. Single. Time. I’m a complete sucker for love.
I can’t even pinpoint a favorite moment of a wedding: I’ve cried while watching some brides walk down the aisle. I’ve bawled watching other couple struggle to keep it together exchanging their vows. Then in the final moments of the wedding, when the officiant pronounces the couple husband and wife, I’ve been known to get teary.
