8 Weeks to a Better Me: Week 4

May 23, 2011

in 8 Weeks

As always, thank you to Danielle for hosting!

Quick Recap:

Week 1 – Blogging

  1. Update pages on Jut and Linds. Both the bridal party and location pages have information to add! I did update the location/directions page on Jut and Linds so we’ll call that done!

Week 2 – Fitness

  1. Get to the gym 3 times this week! We always say we want to go 3 times, but its usually twice, and sometimes only once. I still didn’t do this, but I did go to yoga and felt amazing after. I think I’ll be ready to jump back in when we get home from the beach next week!
  2. Walk Bailey 4 nights. The puppy needs his exercise too! Plus it will give me an excuse to get outside, since all of our workouts happen in the gym. (Goal 2b is to exercise outside more, and enjoy the sun that’s finally shining!) I walked Bailey everyday, even if just a short one, during my lunch break or right after I was done working. It felt good to get outside!

Week 3 – Healthy Eating

  1. Eat healthier snacks. Since I’m going to be working from home most of this week, I know I’ll want to be munching more than usual. I need to make sure I’m snacking on the right things, and not going overboard. Instead of chips, I ate fruits and applesauce!
  2. Add new dinner options. Every night we either have grilled chicken or pasta. We need to find some healthy alternatives that we actually enjoy and will spend time making! We made quesadillas one night, homestyle mac and cheese one night, and when we went out for date night I ordered a steak salad instead of a chicken sandwich like usual!
  3. Eat breakfast everyday. I can definitely tell the difference from the days I eat it and the days I don’t, and I always feel better when I do! Since I was working from home, this was much easier! Cereal or poptarts or fruit everyday!

Now for this week, Loving Yourself!

  1. Don’t let my mother get to me. We’re going to the beach this week with my parents, and I know my mom is going to be commenting on my weight the entire time we’re there. I need to just learn how to ignore her and feel good about myself regardless of what she says!
  2. Hang a positive image thought in my closet. Getting ready for work in the morning is one of the hardest things for me, because I don’t feel comfortable in anything I own right now. It might help to have some encouraging words right there where I can see them while I change.
  3. Find a few articles that make me feel amazing. While planning the wedding, I can’t really afford a new wardrobe, but I would like to find a few key pieces that I feel really good in. The hunt is officially on!
  4.

How are you loving yourself?

Yea, mine is fantastic. But at least I was able to stand her for the week!
