It’s been way too long since I posted last, but I’m still gonna be lazy about it and just give you a list since there’s a lot to update you on! It’s been a wonderful summer so far!
- Trying to adjust to working in a school district while school is not in session. All the lights stay off all day and I’m afraid of the dark!
- I don’t know how I did it, but I got both Justin and my iPhone 4 pre-orders placed! Can’t wait til June 24th! (Except actually the 25th, cuz I won’t be in Pittsburgh when they arrive)
- My paycheck being deposited tomorrow is more than double what it would normally be because they pro-rated my pay wrong when I started halfway through the school year!
- In my head the extra money is already spent. Hopefully Monday I’ll be *finally* purchasing a Macbook Pro!!
- I got a raise! Starting July 1st, I’ll be making an extra 3% per year!
- Since I’m one of the few year-long employees in the district, I only pay health insurance 9 months out of the year. That means for the next 3 months my paychecks will be a little more than usual!
- The Joy Equation is amazing. I don’t know how else to put it into words, but I’ll have a full post at the end of the project!
- I’m still going strong on Project 365! Anyone care to join me?
- I’ve been spending a lot of evenings watching my little cousins play baseball with my step-dad and uncle coaching. It makes me realize just how much of a soccer mom I’m going to be someday!
- This weekend Justin and I are taking a big step in our relationship. We’re opening a joint bank account so we can start saving together! The first thing we’re doing with our mutual funds is planning a trip to Disney World to see the Harry Potter park!!
- We’re also registering for our passports. Our cruise may be getting cancelled due to the damn oil spill, but at least we’ll be able to get into Canada whenever we want! Plus we have a laundry list of places we’d like to visit *someday*
- Am I the only person on Earth that uses the term “laundry list” as a way to say ” a lot”?
- We have weddings to attend the last weekend of June, the first weekend of July, and the first weekend of September. Can someone say engagement fever? Cuz I have it.
- Bailey turns one next week. Unbelievable. He’ll forever be just a puppy to me!
- July is going to be a big month! Justin and my 2 year anniversary, Hey Smalls’ first Blogoversary, a Jack Johnson concert, and a blogger meetup/tweetup/Stratejoy workshop in DC!
Things are good and I like it this way! Now, if we could get Justin a job in Erie we’d be set!

I saw the Harry Potter park on the TODAY show today. I’m not even an HP fan and it’s really impressive!
I’ve been an HP diehard since day one! There is no way I’m missing out on this park haha. And we want to go this year, before it gets too much use and isn’t as nice, cuz you know that’s gonna happen eventually.
